The road to global recognition is officially underway for 18 young athletes from the Cordillera Region. Following an intensive four-day tryout and evaluation process, Perfect Game Cordillera Regional Director Kimberly Fokleg Kedcheman announced the official roster for the upcoming Perfect Game National Tournament, scheduled for June 21–26, 2026, at The Villages, Clark, Pampanga.

The comprehensive four-day selection process evaluated prospective players on their core baseball skills, athletic ability, game performance, and intangible qualities including attitude, discipline, and commitment to the sport.

As detailed in the official selection letter, the finalized 18-man regional roster features top young talents across Kalinga, Sagada, Baguio City, and Benguet:

​Early U15 Reinforcements Already in Training

Ahead of the full roster finalization, a foundational group of older athletes had already secured their positions to anchor the region’s campaign. Earlier on, three standout Under-15 (U15) players from Sagada – Trip Yayaen, Kristan Kent Pangda, and Derfliw Piluden – officially joined Team Cordillera. To maximize their preparation, these three athletes are currently stationed in Baguio City, undergoing rigorous training alongside their teammates to sharpen their skills and build team chemistry before heading down to Pampanga.

Direct Gateway to the World Stage

This regional milestone coincides with a nationwide push by Perfect Game Philippines to bridge the gap between local amateur talent and elite international competition. Known globally as the world’s largest youth baseball and softball scouting organization, Perfect Game’s expansion into the Philippines marks a fundamental shift toward data-driven player development, advanced analytics, and direct college and professional pathways.

According to the official program, the organization’s core mission centers on creating a world-class infrastructure where Filipino athletes can compete and secure international opportunities. Unlike traditional tournament formats focused solely on winning immediate matches, the Perfect Game platform emphasizes long-term athlete growth, global exposure, and evaluation by international scouts.

​Path to Florida: The National Championship

​The tournament in Clark will feature an elite tier of competition, acting as the primary launching pad for the country’s best young players. As highlighted in the official invitation issued by PG Asia Pacific Vice President Raymond Tolentino, the Perfect Game Philippines National Championship serves as the official qualifier for the prestigious WWBA World Championship.

Teams that excel at the Clark tournament from June 21–24, 2026, will earn the distinct honor of representing the Philippines on the global stage in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA, this coming October 16–19, 2026.
